Friday, January 28th 

New Student and Transfer Orientation

Starting your journey toward a college degree can bring up a mix of emotions. It's an exciting time, but can also be overwhelming as you adjust to a new enviornment and need questions answered. New Student Orientation serves to enhance the experience of first-year students, transfer students, and their family members as they transition to Buffalo State.

Location: Campbell Student Union and Bulgar Communications Center

Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Monday, January 31st

Coffee with the Completion Coaches

Roar 2 Success Completion Coaches will be in the Campbell Student Union Lobby on the first day of classes to welcome students back with free coffee and donut holes (while supplies last). They are also able to answer any questions you may have about your first day and find resources on campus.

USG Commuter Connection 

Commuters Happy 2022! Join USG in celebrating the new year and the new semester! Stop by grab a free Taco-in-a-Bag and learn about our upcoming events for the semester! Funded through USG by the Mandatory Student Activity Fee.

Wednesday, February 2nd

MLK Speaker: Trini E. Ross, United States Attorney for Western New York

Buffalo State will be hosting Trini E. Ross, the United States Attorney for Western New York as the 2022 Martin Luther King Jr. Speaker. Trini E. Ross became the United States Attorney General for the Western District of New York on October 11, 2021. Ms. Ross was nominated by President Joseph R. Biden on July 26, 2021, and unanimously confirmed by the Senate on September 30, 2021, becoming the first black woman to hold the position in the Western District of New York. President Biden signed Ms. Ross' commission on October 5, 2021. Ms. Ross is responsible for overseeing the prosecution of any federal criminal case brought within 17 counties of Western New York. The office also represents the United States in all civil matters brought within this territory. 

This is free and open to the public. Registration is required for in-person attendance.

Commuter Breakfast

Breakfast is a perfect opportunity to increase levels of antioxidants and other healthy nutrients. We are inviting all commuter students to take part in Commuter Breakfast. Provided by Chartwells, commuter breakfast will help you have more energy and improve your mood, focus, and physical performance.

Meet the Greeks

Are you interested in learning more about Greek life on campus? Meet the Greeks is an opportunity to learn more about the unique fraternities and sororities that Buffalo State College has to offer. Being apart of Greek life can give you opportunities for leadership, effective time management, problem solving, networking, and more!

For over 20 years, Dale K has entertained and educated audiences in over 20 countries. His approach to hypnosis has made him a crowd favorite. Get ready to be blown away with his skills and who knows, you might get hypnotized…

Beyond Boundaries Film and Discussion Series (Free)

The Beyond Boundaries Film and Discussion Series will be showing The Neutral Ground: A Story about Sore Losers. A film about memory, monuments, and how to break up with the Confederacy, The Neutral Ground chronicles a fight over monuments and America’s troubled romance with the Lost Cause. Director CJ Hunt is a producer on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah. Watch the trailer.

Tron Laser Tag

Spending time with your friends is a great way to unwind and enjoy yourself. Come to the Student Union and enjoy TJohnE’s Tron Laser Tag. This indoor arena is designed to give you and your friends a chance to work as a team and improve your decision-making skills. And most importantly, have fun!

USG Family Feud

Come out and play Family Feud with USG! Contestants will be picked from the audience! Prizes will be awarded throughout the night!!! Refreshments will be served! Don’t want to play, come and cheer on your friends and take part in the food and prizes! Funded by USG through the Mandatory Student Activity Fee.

E-Sports Recreational Tournament

Join the BSC E-Sports team as they host their first recreational tournament of the semester. Winners of the recreational tournament will receive an Amazon gift card. Follow BSC E-Sports on twitch.tv/BuffState

USG FREE Movie Night
