What should I expect for summer orientation 2020? How is Buffalo State responding to the COVID-19 outbreak?
Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, we have made the difficult decision to transition to online orientation services this summer and expand programming during Bengal Bound and Week of Welcome.
Is Orientation mandatory?
Yes, all incoming first-year and transfer students must complete orientation.
How do I login/use online orientation? What is my username?
You will receive an email 24 hours before your live session with a link to login. After you complete the live session you will receive a link to log in for the corresponding Blackboard site.
What if I cannot attend Orientation?
All new students must attend an orientation session.
What if I don't complete orientation?
A hold will be on your student account until orientation is completed.
How much does Orientation cost? How do I pay?
The one-time orientation fee will be applied automatically to your first-semester bill.
Do parents/guests have to pay?
For the online orientation this summer, the parents and family fee has been waived. We encourage families to attend the Family Orientation sessions to learn more about Buffalo State College.
