Available Spaces
The Campbell Student Union has a wide array of spaces available to student organizations, campus departments, and community organizations. These spaces can accommodate both large and small scale events. Please contact Student Leadership and Engagement if you have any questions regarding the usage of space.
The Social Hall is a large 115 x 219 ft multipurpose room. The open floor can be arranged in a variety of setups to meet the needs of most functions. The stage is 27 x 19 ft. There are two dressing rooms behind the stage with private bathrooms in the Social Hall for patrons, service elevator, and a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system available to support events.
This space is typically utilized for medium sized to large events of 100 to 600 people. This space has featured fashion shows, dances, nationally known comedians, musical performances, lectures and presentations of all types, step shows, dance hall competitions, and variety shows.
The Social Hall can accommodate approximately 600 people for standing room only, approximately 300 for a plated dining style set up, 250 for a classroom set up, and approximately 150 - 250 people for a fashion show set up with a runway.
The Assembly Hall in the Campbell Student Union is a versatile room that can be utilized as a smaller banquet hall or can be split in two smaller conference rooms by a retractable wall. The room has two projectors integrated into a state-of-the-art sound system. This room also comes with the ability to have two wireless microphones running throughout the room.
The Assembly Halls are typically utilized for smaller conferences, lectures, meetings, practice space, and dinners of 100 individuals or fewer. This room can accommodate approximately 100 people standing, 100 seated auditorium style, and approximately 96 for a seated dinner.
When the room is split into Assembly Hall 1 & 2, Assembly Hall 1 can hold approximately 90 people standing, 45 people seated auditorium style, approximately 40 dining style and 20 classroom style. Assembly Hall 2 can hold approximately 65 individuals standing, 45 seated auditorium style, 40 dining style and 20 classroom style.
Due to the fact that the Fireside Lounge is used as public space for both commuter students and students who are looking for a convenient place to relax, the Fireside Lounge is available for special events and programming only during certain hours of the week.
The Fireside Lounge is equipped with balcony doors, a fireplace and 40 small comfortable sitting chairs along the border of the room. The Fireside Lounge is most commonly used for smaller events and is characterized by its intimate, comfortable setting. However, this is a standing room capacity only and will vary with a requested set up. The furniture in the Fireside Lounge cannot be removed. The chairs do not stack, and the tables must remain in the Fireside Lounge.
The Conference Rooms are suitable for small-medium size meetings & programs, with varied seating arrangements/capacities.
The general circulation area for the building can be used for information tables, and special events. The main upper lobby is the hub of activity for the campus. During the weekdays reserved table space is limited to fifteen tables per day in the upper lobby. Each table is allowed only two chairs. The lobby is also available for reservation depending on the request.
The upper and lower lobbies of the Student Union are reserved for events on an individual basis. There are several restrictions based on fire codes and campus dining operations.
