Parent and Family Orientation is a vital step in supporting your Buffalo State student. The Student Leadership and Engagement office at Buffalo State College offers a Parent and Family Orientation during all First-Year Student and Transfer Student Orientations. The program runs concurrent with the student program, but is a separate program to meet the specific needs of parents and family members. Parent/Family members will not be staying on campus and are responsable for their own accommodations.
You may refer to the Orientation page for the specific dates and cost for both first-year (FY) and transfer (TR). To sign-up for Family/Parent Orientation make sure you are entered on your student's orientation application.

The cost of the family member orientation is $50 per guest. This covers the overall cost of family member programs, staff, meals, and supplies. Payment instructions can be found in your students online application. Please review our refund policy should you have questions about refunds.

At this time we are asking all students who have submitted their intent to enroll deposit and have not yet attended the mandatory orientation to please keep an eye on your emails. Information about a make up session will be released in the upcoming weeks. Once the information is available students can register for the session.
